PMK Civil Engineering Limited was formed in November 2002 to service civil engineering works within the Utilities Industry, and undertook Telecom, Power, Water, Street Lighting and Gas Contracts from the outset.

The Company currently employs 100 Personnel, which includes fully qualified Office staff, as well as experienced, accredited external Manual operatives.

The Main Office is located in Glasgow, close to the M8 and A77 and only 45 minutes drive from Edinburgh, which allows for convenient servicing of customers throughout Scotland.

With the continued growth of the Company, various major Projects are now being undertaken throughout the UK.

PMK attained accreditation to the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Management Systems within 7 months of its inception in July 2003.

The scope of accreditation is – The provision of civil engineering services to the Utilities Industry, primarily works carried out on the public highway, including all excavation and construction works associated with the installation of Water, Sewer, Telecommunications, Power, Street Lighting and Gas Networks. The construction process incorporates all pipe insertions, pipebursting, cable installation and sub ducting operations, as required.

Our scope of works was increased further, more recently, with the expansion into deep sewer Contracts and ground works Contracts for national House Building Companies.

With the upturn in multi utility and site work, the next objective for PMK Civil Engineering was to gain accreditation to the Water Industry Registration Scheme (WIRS) and the National Electricity Registration Scheme (NERS). Both Management Systems are currently in place within the Company.

PMK became the first Contractor in Britain to be accredited to the Lloyds Register 2nd Tier NERS Management Scheme and this was achieved in November 2006, with accreditation for the WIRS Scheme planned for the near future.

In September 2008, PMK became accredited under the Achilles Registration Scheme and is now on the Utilities Verification Database which is used by many major Clients within the utilities industry.

Further business development and growth is envisaged and PMK Civil Engineering hopes to remain at the forefront of the industry for many years to come.
